The base of all make up.

I've mentioned previously that I'm not a huge lover of liquid foundations; they don't seem to sit on my face very well and they never look quite right. So here is my liquid foundation free base!

Not the cheapest product at £31, however, the shade Natural Beige is just right for me. If you too don't like the feel of liquid foundations or maybe just fancy a New Year change up in your make up routine, this is perfect. It doesn't look too powdery at all and the coverage is impeccable. I would definitely recommend visiting a Laura Mercier counter to be colour matched and they will advise you on various options to choose from. Just swirl this all over your face in the morning and you're good to go!

I used to be a huge advocate of Nars Laguna Bronzer and believed no bronzer could beat it. I've been using Hoola for over a year now and I haven't looked back. The colour isn't too warm and it adds a perfect sun kissed look to your make up - for such a small tub it also lasts forever. I use mine every day religiously and I still haven't run out (although I do have a back up for when I do!)

A new addition to my make up bag and I love love love it. A blush and a highlighter in one - what a brilliant idea! Despite the colour being beautiful, I've noticed two small downsides of this product. Number One, apply with a light hand! If you go in too heavily with this product it will definitely be noticeable, so make sure to apply lightly and have your foundation brush to hand to blend it out. Secondly, the smell. Personally, I like the smell. However, the sweet smell of the blush is very strong and I can imagine it won't be to everybody's taste, but I would suggest going to a Benefit counter and smelling it before you get put off.

I know it might seem like a crazy idea.. two powder foundations?! But just a light sweep of this all over the face sets my make up in place all day. Plus its an old favourite and I can't seem to be able to part with it.
