All about the hair..

THE DO'S | FIVE TOP TIPS.

1. Do use a conditioner, every time you wash your hair.
2. Do use a brush which doesn't pull half your hair out - I recommend the Tangle Teezer.
3. Do have trims at least three times a year.
4. Some days wear your hair in a high ponytail, especially in the nights or in windy weather, to prevent tangles and damage.
5. Use a hair oil every now and again.

THE DON'T'S | FIVE TOP TIPS.

1. Don't blow-dry your hair after every shower.
2. Don't listen to other people: if washing your hair every day doesn't seem to damage it, carry on. If your mum insists you need a hair cut but your hair is feeling silkier than ever, don't get it cut!
3. Don't slather your hair in dye every other week.
4. Try not to brush your hair when it's wet.
5. Don't ever towel dry your hair.

THE PRODUCTS | MAINLY AUSSIE.

I truly believe that finding a good shampoo and conditioner is the key to healthy, long and swishy hair. The Aussie philosophy - 'There's more to life than hair but it's a good place to start', is only one reason why I love the brand so much. The 'Miracle Moist' Shampoo and Conditioner duo is a must have.

Moroccan Oil is also a wonderful product to have on your shelf. Not for use every day, but every once in a while, after a shower, coat the ends of your hair in this - it won't repair split ends - but near enough.

JUST A FEW MORE TIPS |

If you're anything like me and love a good blow-dry, straighten and curling session with your hair - there are solutions. Try only partly drying your hair and letting the rest air dry. There are excessive amounts of youtube tutorials, blog posts and articles on heatless ways to get luscious curls in your locks, I'd recommend these too!

Hairdressers will be shaking their heads, but I brush my hair all the time, I wash it almost every day and I straighten, curl and blow-dry like there's no tomorrow.. but all in moderation.
